Gobi and Northern Mongolia Tour
This is one of the classical tours in Mongolia which includes the gobi and forestland and steppe. Day 1. Arrival day.

Day 2. Baga Gazariyn Chuluu.
After breakfast in the morning we start our trip to South Gobi of Mongolia. First we drive to see an incredible natural scene of Baga Gazariyn Chuluu which is the area of granite surrounded by flat plains is located 1768m above sea level covering 300 square km area and its surroundings and a ruin of the old Buddhist temple. Overnight in camp/tent.
Day 3. Tsagaan Suvarga/White Stupa/.
Early in the morning we continue our trip to Tsagaan Suvarga /White Stupa/. It is about 60 meters high and 400 meters long very steep cliffs that were the bottom of an ancient sea. People say, it looks like a city or white stupas when approach from the east. Overnight in a tent.
Day 4. Vulture Valley/Yoliyn Am/.
Today we drive to Umnugobi Province to see the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan/Gobi Three Beauties/ National park. Which is one of the biggest scale of Nationals Parks in Mongolia and its famous about its endangered wildlife such as bearded vulture/lammergier/, snowleopard, black ibex and bighorn sheep etc. You are able to see these animals in one place. Also you will enjoy the cool wind from the glacier in the canyon. Overnight in camp/tent.
Day 5. Khongoriyn Sand Dunes.
As the sun rises, we start our trip to Khongoriyn Sand Dunes the biggest sand dune of Mongolia. The paved road will over and the dirt road will begin from here and you will recognize how Mongolian Gobi is big and wide and emptiness. Road type is kind of hard, but our 4wd Cruisers will overcome it easily. Overnight in ger.
Day 6. Khongor Sand Dunes-Rest Day
You can make your day to challenge yourself with climbing the Singing Dune /Duut Mankhan/ of Khongoriyn Sand dunes. At the top of the dunes you can find peace and hear the voice of singing sand in the wind, and would be a suitable place to meditate. Overnight in camp.
Day 7. Bayanzag/Flaming Cliff/
We’ll go to see a dinosaur signs in Bayanzag /The Flaming Cliff/, the first dinosaur eggs were found here by Roy Chapman Andrews the paleontologist from USA in 1924. Also, you are possible to see the enchanting sunset in the Gobi and could capture great photos. Overnight in camp/tent.
Day 8. Ongi Monastery
We are leaving the Gobi behind and entering central of Mongolia today. We’ll explore Ongi river valley and the secret history of Ongi monastery the one of the old temples belongs to the 17th century. The road would be similar as before. Overnight in camp/tent.
Day 9. Kharakhorum.
Today we move to ancient Mongolian Capital called Kharkhorum/Kharkhorin in modern language/ and see the Erdene-Zuu monastery the famous one from middle age and Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape. Overnight in camp/Tent.
Day 10. Tsenkher Hot Spring
Today we travel to one of the biggest natural hot springs called Tsenkher in Arkhangay province. This spring is with issuing at a scalding 65-90 celcius with the stench of hydrogen sulphide. Since early times the spring has been used for medical use and it contains sulfur acid and flint. Good influence for articulation, stomach, anemia, overfatigue, skin diseases and diabetes. At the end of the long drive you’ll love it to sitting in the hot spring. Tsenkher Hot Spring is surrounded by beautiful natural scenes and has comfortable weather conditions. Overnight in camp/tent.
Day 11. Terkhiyn Tsagaan lake, Khorgo Extinct Volcano.
Drive to Tariat soum of Arkhangay province to see Terkhyn Tsagaan Lake National Park and Khorgo the one of the biggest burnt volcano crater in Mongolia. The volcano crater was active around 8000 years ago. The crater depth is about 100 and 400 meters wide and its surrounding areas covered with up to 50 meters of lava. The sign lava continues for around 100 km through the valley of Chuluut river. Around the lake and volcano you can make hiking, its surrounding environment is just incredible. Overnight in tent.
Day 12. Jargalant
Today we turn our trip to the Northern Mongolia with Jargalant soum of Khovsgol province. Definitely, you will enjoy the Mongolian country off-roads here, and the flora and fauna. Overnight in tent.
Day 13. Moron City
Travel to Moron City of Khovsgol province. The Khovsgol provides enormous part of Mongolian forest and fresh water. Well known about its beautiful high mountains with larch, pine and spruce trees and of course Khovsgol lake the Blue Pearl. Overnight in camp/tent near by the city.
Day 14. Khovsgol Lake
Travel to Khovsgol Lake National park. This national park is well known about its crystal clear Khovsgol Lake which is the second biggest freshwater lake in the world and it contains around 1 percent of the world freshwater. The lake is 136km long and about 40 km wide and surrounded by beautiful larch and pine trees. Only, here we can take a picture with reindeers and yaks. There are many tourist camps and they run a lot of interesting activities for tourists. Overnight in camp.
Day 15. Khuvsgul Lake /rest day/
Today we’ll stay at the camp all day and rest. You can manage your day as you wish. Here are the ideas of things to do: horse riding, jet boat, hiking, visiting nomads family, swimming and tasting traditional foods and other activities are available for your interest. Overnight at camp.
Day 16. Khutag-Undur
Today we drive to Khutag-Undur soum of the Bulgan Province for 340 km by paved road. The Bulgan province is one of the places that tourists love to travel in Mongolia. The parts of this region are much different from each other. Khutag-Undur soum area is mostly covered with forest and the biggest and beautiful Selenge river runs through its landscape. Overnight in camp/tent.
Day 17. Amarbayasgalant Monastery
Travel to Amarbaysgalant monastery. The monastery was built in early 18th Century, which was dedicated to St. Zanabazar the first Bogd of Mongolia. It is considered that there were over 6000 monks lived in 50 temples. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by communists during the Great Revolution in 1930s. In 1944, the monastery was protected by the state and rebuilt. Overnight in camp/tent.
Day 18. Ulaanbaatar
Travel to Ulaanbaatar early in the morning and arriving in the afternoon. Go for shopping to buy some cashmere and souvenirs. Mongolian cashmere products are getting very famous in the world market with its best quality and price. Overnight in hotel.
Day 19. Departure.
