Terelj National Park – Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex – Short Tour

This is the shortest destination near Ulaanbaatar.  The program includes Terelj National Park- Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex, 13Th Century Complex.

Day 1. UB – Terelj National Park-Ariyabal Monastery, Turtle Rock

Travel to Terelj National Park. Which is 54km from Ulaanbaatar  and one of the touristic places near the city. A large number of local and foreign tourists like to visit on this sightseeing place. Here we will see the incredible natural creations like the giant Turtle Rock, 100 monks cave, camel rock, lion rock, three friends cave and the wonderful Ariyabal monastery. The National Park is mostly surrounded by mountains with gigantic rocks and trees. Overnight in camp.

Day 2. Terelj National Park around -Visiting nomads family

There are plenty of  things to do in Terelj National Park, you are able  to ride a horse or camel trekking, hiking, swimming and golfing, and rafting. Also, you are possible to visit real nomads family here.  In wintertime, you can go for a dog sledding and horse sleigh. Overnight in camp.

Day 3. Terelj National Park– Chinggis Khaans Great Statue at Tsonjin Boldog/ 13th Century Complex – UB

After breakfast at the camp we have a short drive to the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex. According to the historic myth, when Temujin /Chinggis Khaan/ coming back to home with his brother Khasar and Belgutei after meeting with Tooril khan of Khereid tribe, he found a whip on the Tsonjin Boldog mound.  The memorial monument complex had been started constructing since 2008.

Move to 13th Century Complex in the afternoon. The historic condition of 13th Century’s nomadic life presented here. The complex consisted of 6 camps as King Palace, Watch Guardian camp, Horse relay station, Artistic camp, Education camp and Shamans camp. White and Black spirits of Mongol Empire and introduce Mongolian fine arts, nomadic customs and shamanic rituals of 13th Century livelihood. Return to Ulaanbaatar in the evening.
