Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts

This art museum, which opened in 1965, displays sculptures, paintings and handicraft objects from Mongolia. Here are also the unique works of art by the first Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar (1635-1724), who is best known for his outstanding sculptural art. Monumental painting “A Day in Mongolia” by Baldugiin “Mardsan” Sharaw (1869-1939 ), which is traditional. Also worth mentioning is the bright life of the nomads. You can stand in front of it for hours and will always discover new things. Also remarkable is the extensive collection of Buddhist art with sculptures, pictures, tangkhas and tsam masks.
