The Adventure Travel in Mongolia tour is designed for those who are interested in genuine adventure. On this trip, we have included Mongolia’s most popular tourist destinations, such as Central, and Northern parts. We have tried to incorporate as many different types of adventures as possible, such as attending the Naadam Festival, visiting and staying with Nomadic families, exploring historical sites, enjoying beautiful natural scenes, relaxing in hot springs, and hiking and horse trekking in remote areas. If you want to experience and travel in Mongolia to the fullest, this trip is perfect for you.

Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar.

Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will attend the Opening Ceremony of the Naadam festival in the city center. You will spend the night at a hotel.

Day 2. Naadam Festival and Gorkhi Terelj National Park

Visit the Naadam festival competitions, including national wrestling, archery, and ankle bone shooting at the stadium in the morning. After lunch, you will drive to Terelj National Park, where you will go on an evening hike to Aryaval Monastery. You will spend the night at a camp in the national park.

Day 3. Hustai National Park

Depart from Terelj National Park in the morning and drive to Hustai National Park. On the way, you will visit a horse race outside the city. You will spend the night at a camp in Hustai National Park, and in the evening, you will take a short drive to the watering hole of the wild horses. You will spend the night in a Ger Camp.

Days 4 – 6. Visiting and staying with a nomadic family

Travel to the central point of Mongolia in Burd Sum of Uvurkhangai province. Here we will visit our nomadic family, where you can participate in their daily activities, such as sheep herding, cow, goat, and mare milking and producing milk products, etc. You will spend the night in a family Ger.

Day 7. Drive to the town of Kharhorin.

Travel to Kharhorin town and visit Kharkhorum the ancient capital of Mongolia and the monastery complex Erdene Zuu. You will also go on a small hike in the area. You will spend the night in a Ger Camp.

Day 8. Tsenkher Hot Spring via Orkhon Waterfall

We will head towards Orkhon waterfall in the morning and go on a short hike to Tuvkhun Monastery on the way and continue driving to Tsenkher Hot Spring. You will spend the night in a Ger Camp.

Day 9. Stay at the hot springs of Tsenkher.

Go on a hike in the picturesque, wooded countryside and flower valleys around Tsenkher. You will spend the night in a Ger Camp.

Day 10 -11. Khorgo Volcano and Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake National Park

Continue our journey to Khorgo Volcano Crater and Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake NP and spend two nights at a Ger Camp. You will have a free day for hiking and other activities in nature.

Day 12. Mörön. Khovsgol

Drive through the Khangai Mountains to the provincial center of Mörön and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 13. Khovsgol lake

Drive to Khovsgol Lake, visit the “Deer stones of Uushgiin Uvur” from the Bronze Age on the way, and arrive at the lake in the evening. You will spend the night in a Ger Camp.

Day 14. Hiking to Zuchii Mountain.

Go on a short drive along the lake to Zuchii Lookout Mountain and hike to the summit. You will spend the night in a Ger Camp.

Day 15 – 18. Horse Trekking

We will go on a horse trek along the Khovsgol lakeshore, enjoying the peace in the wildlife and reaching the beautiful healing mineral spring from the mountain foot called Khar Us. You will spend the nights in tents.

Day 19. Ride back to the camp.

In the morning, you will ride back to the camp at the lake. You will have the afternoon at leisure by the lake and spend the night in a Ger Camp.

Day 20. Mörön – Ulaanbaatar (flight)

Return to the provincial center of Mörön and fly back to Ulaanbaatar. The arrival time depends on departure times, often changing at short notice. You will spend the night at a hotel.

Day 21. Ulaanbaatar

You will have a free day in Ulaanbaatar for shopping and visiting museums. In the evening, you will see a Traditional Cultural Show in the Drama Theatre. You will spend the night in a hotel.
