Day 1. Gorkhi Terelj National Park

On the first day of the trip, we will be heading to Gorkhi Terelj National Park, which is located 54km away from Ulaanbaatar. This park is a popular tourist destination that attracts both local and foreign visitors. The park is surrounded by majestic mountains with lush green trees and massive rocks. We will have the opportunity to explore some of the incredible natural creations that Terelj offers, including the impressive Turtle Rock and the beautiful Ariyabal monastery. After a day of exploring, we will spend the night at a comfortable camp nearby.

Day 2. Visiting nomad’s family

The Gorkhi Terelj National Park is a vast area with plenty of things to do and see. On the second day of our trip, we will have the opportunity to engage in various activities such as horse or camel trekking, hiking, swimming, and golfing. We can also go rafting or visit a real nomad family to experience their way of life. During the winter, we can go dog sledding or horse sleighing, which is a unique and exciting experience. We will spend another night at our cozy campsite.

Day 3. Genghis Khan Statue  and 13th Century Complex – Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast on the third day, we will head to the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex. According to historical myths, when Temuujin (Chinggis Khaan) returned home with his brother Khasar and Belgutei after meeting Tooril Khan of the Khereid tribe, he found a whip on the Tsonjin Boldog mound. The complex is a memorial monument constructed since 2008, dedicated to the great leader Chinggis Khaan.

Later in the afternoon, we will visit the 13th Century Complex, where we will learn about the historical conditions of nomadic life during the 13th century. The complex is made up of six camps, including King Palace, Watch Guardian Camp, Horse Relay Station, Artistic Camp, Education Camp, and Shamans Camp. Here, we will learn about the White and Black spirits of the Mongol Empire and get an introduction to Mongolian fine arts, nomadic customs, and shamanic rituals of the 13th-century livelihood.
